Weekend Fun

We've been having beautiful weather here lately, think 75 degrees, clear and sunny. And in a few short months, it will be 120 degrees and sunburny, so we have to take advantage of the outdoors now. On Sunday we took the kids to a nearby nature festival, Tres Rios at Estrella Mountain Park. The park is amazing with lots of trails and great play areas, but we didn't even get to any of that, as they had trains and ponys and canoeing and fishing.

Brian has a real thing for the $2 barrel train pulled by a riding lawn mower or small ATV. The above picture is from sunday.

Here is our hobo in fall 2009

And fall 2010

Back to sunday

Brian on Missy the Pony. I was a little worried since.....

...this was his first pony ride. It's not a great picture but you can see the terror on his face.

Brian touching the fish he caught

Emy was there too. She liked the ponys and thought they were "doggies!" She only says 5 words but she was sure they were doggies.
Oh and as we were leaving, our exhausted Brian had a little fit that he wanted us to bring home a pony for him. So we can have our Parent badge now, we've earned it. You aren't really a parent until one or more children has a full blown fit that you won't buy them a pony to live in your backyard with fake grass and a swimming pool.
